Being a bride during a pandemic isn’t ideal. if we learned anything in 2020, its that sometimes, life is unfair and can be completely out of our control.
I had the privilege of working with Aly and Dominick on their wedding journey, through the anxieties and unknowns during the pandemic, and luckily – we were able to still put a ring on it. I remember the early days, at the start of the lockdown in March 2020, talking to the couple on Zoom, planning for July – assuming that with warmer weather, came wedding bells. As the months went on, lockdown continued, and emotions were everywhere; this couple remained completely certain that on their originally planned wedding date, they would be getting married.
As the story continues and the closer we became to the wedding date, the reality was setting in. The beautiful, big wedding that Aly and Dominick intended to have together, would look a bit different. So, we decided to keep the date, keep the airbnb’s, find a taco man, and bring the immediate family & bridal party to San Clemente for a intimate ceremony. I have seen many nuptials in my day, this day that these two persevered to have, was amongst the most cherished I’ve ever witnessed.
As we have it, they are married! YAY!
The PLAN A that they dreamt about will be a reality in September 2021!
