February 20, 2020
Never did I think that a pandemic would hit our world just days following this gorgeous day. But if there is only going to be one big beautiful wedding in my 2020 year, I am so glad it was this one. Where do I start with these two?
First off, they are the absolute cutest things that walked the earth. As you can see, I don’t really need to explain further, you have eyes!
Some background on this perfect pair. Jelli and I grew up together, went through undergrad within the same major and have been growing professionals, side-by-side throughout our young adult lives– she is wedding photographer! We have been able to grow together, on the similar trajectories, and it’s been such a blessing to have made such a friend like her.
When Jelli asked me to coordinate her wedding, I couldn’t be more flattered. To put into perspective, doing a wedding for a professional wedding vendor (of any sort) is some real pressure. To add to that, she has become such a good friend, mentor and support system over the years. I was over the moon when she asked.
This very wedding day was a Thursday. Why a Thursday one might ask – well these two selfless souls brought everyone together on her grandma’s 80th birthday and his grandma’s 90th birthday. What are the odds! Such a special date for both families, why not make it more spectacular?!
I will let the pictures do the talking, Angelica had such a vision. She turned this oceanside venue in the Pacific Palisades, into a whimsical Tuscany vibe. I have seen the Bel Air Bay Club evolve many times of the years; this vision she created was a different kind of magic.
If there was a “last wedding before the pandemic”, I sure am glad I was able to enjoy this day watching these two lovebirds become one.
