February 20, 2020
Never did I think that a pandemic would hit our world just days following this insanely, beautiful day. However, if there is only going to be one “normal” wedding within my 2020 year, I can confidently say, I’m so pleased this was the one.
Where do I start with these two?
First off, they are the absolute cutest things that walked the earth. As you can see, I don’t really need to explain further, you have eyes!
Some background on this perfect pair. Jelli and I (Krissy Allegra, Owner) grew up together, went through undergrad within the same major and have been growing professionals, side-by-side throughout our young adult lives. On top of that lengthy history, she too is in the wedding world, she is an amazing Wedding Photographer! We have been able to grow together, on the similar trajectories, and it’s been such a blessing to have made such a friend like her personally and professionally.
When Jelli asked me to coordinate her wedding, I couldn’t be more flattered. To put into perspective, doing a wedding for a professional wedding vendor (of any sort) is some real pressure. Obviously us vendors are probably the best clients, a lot more laid back as we are very understanding of the process and know what we want, however…. lots of pressure added to this. To add to that, she has become such a good friend, mentor and support system over the years.
This very wedding day was a Thursday. Why a Thursday one might ask – well these two selfless souls brought everyone together on her grandma’s 80th birthday and his grandma’s 90th birthday. What are the odds! Such a special date for both families, why not make it more spectacular?!
I will let the pictures do all the talking, Angelica had such a vision. She turned this oceanside venue in the Pacific Palisades, into a whimsical Tuscany vibe. I have seen the Bel Air Bay Club evolve many times of the years; this vision she created was a different kind of magic.
If there was a “last wedding before the pandemic”, I sure am glad I was able to enjoy this day watching these two lovebirds become one.
