I was absolutely overjoyed when Kori had asked me to be her wedding planner! I met Kori in my college days at California State University Northridge. We were a part of the same sorority, Delta Zeta, but we really connected and clicked when we started a bi-weekly coffee date where we would catch up and also assign and discuss faith-based books together. Our friendship really blossomed through these chats. Kori is truly one of the sweetest and kindest humans I have ever encountered, and I am so blessed to call her my friend.
This beautiful summer day in July was actually my first experience ever having two weddings in one day. I had Kori and Jhauvy’s wedding from 10 AM-2 PM and Megan and Travis’s wedding from 5 PM-11 PM. I arrived in Orange County to do Kori and Jhauvy’s wedding while my team went ahead to begin setting up for Megan and Travis’s wedding.
Kori and Jhauvy’s wedding at the Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim was organic, unique, and their own. It was a quiet and intimate day and was visited by a small group of their closest family and friends. They had their ceremony at the nature center’s marvelous tree-covered amphitheater. Kori chose to add some minimalist yet elegant drapery, a dresser holding eclectic signage and cute photos of the couple’s history, and a harpist to add a bit of romantic ambiance. The ceremony was followed by a yummy brunch (because you can never go wrong with brunch!) at the nearby country club. And just for fun, they hired a cartoon artist to draw each of the guests. So fun! Their entire special day was filled with so much love and faith – it was beautiful and I can’t imagine them doing it any other way.
Congrats to you, Mr. and Mrs. Roter!
