Weddings

If I were handing out awards, this wedding receives the honor of longest planning process to date, for the Always Allegra team. I met Madison and Kevin in early 2019 when they booked Bel-Air Bay Club for their upcoming nuptials. When I announced that I was leaving my position at the Club and moving jobs, they immediately booked me independently to coordinate their May 2020 wedding. Little did they know that the world had other plans in store, and they’d be patiently waiting to get married AND be stuck with me for another 2.5 years.

I will never forget all the unknowns and uncertainty at the beginning of COVID. I jumped on a call with Madison and her mom to assess the situation in relation to their wedding plan. Mind you, when COVID shocked the world, we were less than 6 weeks out from their wedding date – fully planned and ready to go. Unbelievably, with every reason to freak-out, they were completely relaxed and easy-going: simply saying “we’ll figure it out, whenever we can get married.” The first date change was to January 2021, while still officially got married with immediate family on their original date in May 2020.

Fast forward a few months, they realized that the January 2021 date was too soon for what was going on in the world, and pushed their celebration to an even further date, this time was to May 2022.

The day FINALLY came to fruition on May 14, 2022. True to their nature, it was such a fun, easy-going, and happy celebration, through and through. The weather was perfect, the bride looked stunning, and the groom finally got his long-awaited margarita machine. Everyone celebrated their love for these two wholeheartedly, dancing the night away with the help of Debois Entertainment, one of the best bands in the business. This crowd brought their dancing shoes, it seemed as if they waited 2.5 years to put them back on, just for this night 😉

I will forever remember this journey with the Houseman and Skaggs families. They waited through the storm and adapted to the cards at hand. Not an easy feat, yet they made it look effortless. THAT – is what I will remember forevermore.

Congratulations to Madison and Kevin! May you forever be the most patient, realistic pair that ever existed – and the longest-standing Always Allegra client… and maybe will always be!
