I couldn’t have ever imagined that a global pandemic would hit our world just days after this insanely beautiful day. However I will say, that if there is only going to be one “normal” wedding within my 2020 year, I can confidently say that I’m pleased this was the one.

Where do I start with these two?!

First off, they are the absolute cutest things to walk the earth!! As you can see, I don’t really need to explain further – you have eyes!

Some background on this perfect pair. Angelica and I (Krissy Allegra, Owner of Always Allegra Events) grew up together, went through undergrad in college within the same major, and have been growing professionals, side-by-side, throughout our young adult lives. On top of that lengthy history, she too is in the wedding world. She is an amazing wedding photographer (Check her out at Angelica Marie Photography!) We have been able to grow together, on similar trajectories, and it’s been such a blessing to have made a friend like Jelli (as she is more commonly known by her loved ones!), both personally and professionally.

When Jelli asked me to coordinate her wedding, I couldn’t have been more flattered. Doing a wedding for a professional wedding vendor (of any sort) is some real pressure. Obviously, we vendors are probably the best clients, as we are more familiar with the process and work it takes. However, a lot of pressure is also added! On top of this, Jelli has become such a wonderful friend, mentor, and support system throughout the years.

This very wedding day was a Thursday. Why a Thursday, you might ask? Well, these two selfless souls brought everyone together on Jelli’s grandmother’s 80th birthday and Ricky’s grandmother’s 90th birthday. What are the odds?! Such a special date for both families, why not make it even more spectacular?

I will let the pictures do all the talking. Angelica had such a vision! She turned this oceanside venue in the Pacific Palisades into a whimsical Tuscany vibe. I have seen the Bel Air Bay Club evolve many times over the years, but this vision she created was a different kind of magic.

If there was a “last wedding before the pandemic”, I sure am glad it was this one!
